James D. Power IV
As the son of J. David Power III, founder of J.D. Power and Associates, Mr. Power literally grew up with the business. Since 1997 he was Senior Vice President and General Manager-International Operations. Mr. Power served as Chairman of J.D Power Asia Pacific in the mid 1990′s, and later managed the J.D. Power and Associates regional office in Troy, Michigan. Mr. Power launched his professional career at the advertising agency Foote, Cone and Belding as a key member of the account management team. He joined the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors Corporation in the late 1980′s. Mr. Power earned a BA degree in History from the University of San Diego and now serves on the Board of Trustees. Mr. Power also manages several of the Power family’s community and philanthropic activities that focus on education and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Steve has held executive roles at Volkswagen, Apple, Nissan, Hyundai and Jumpstart. As marketing leader at VW, Steve led development of the ‘Drivers Wanted’ campaign and launch of the new Beetle. As VP Global Marketing Communications for Apple, he led global marketing activities and worked on development of the Apple store. Steve then became VP Marketing for Nissan/Infiniti in the US where he led the Shift_ marketing campaign before moving to Tokyo as the SVP of Global Marketing. He then became COO of Hyundai North America and CEO at Jumpstart Automotive Group.
Bill is a current board member at Lithia Motors, Inc. and Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. Mr. Young is a former CEO of Volkswagen America and a well-respected leader with over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. Mr. Young served as Executive Director at J.D. Power and Associates and as President and CEO of Advanced Machine Vision. Bill has been mentoring start-ups and young companies for more than ten years.
Alan has been Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Point.360, a publicly-owned company involved in post production and management of media content, since 2000. From 1994 to 2000 Alan was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Advanced Machine Vision Corporation, a public company involved in research, development, manufacturing and sales of sophisticated vision sorting and defect removal equipment for food, paper, tobacco and other markets. From 1983 to 1994 he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of DDL Electronics, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed company in the electronics industry. Alan also held financial management positions at Atlantic Richfield Company and was a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Paul brings with him nearly 25 years of leadership experience and is recognized as a highly effective strategic and operational leader. He has an exceptional track record of building brands and businesses across digital media, hardware/software services and consumer packaged goods industries. For 13 years, Mr. Johnson held the title of president and CEO of Kelley Blue Book where he led the company’s transition from a traditional trade-publishing guide to a diversified technology based information, media and market research company. Over his career, Paul led the transformation, growth and sale of internet giant Kelly Blue Book, Hardware/Software services start-up CDMDATA and early in his career consumer packaged goods company, Naked juice.
